He simply huffs and cautiously steps forward, examining the lupine with a focused expression. "She looks unharmed to me. Physically at least." He mutters, flattening his ears against the irritating 'thump' of his prosthetic.

Rayna pins her ears back, Looking at the older dog. She nudges the food closer, Lowering her head as she walks inside. She looks at Chandler while walking and saying "If we were to take some sort of strap, wrap it around the prosthetic, then wrap it around the back of your leg, wrap it to the other back leg, then wrap it around your body at the stomach, It would be some what quieter, and it would always stay on, Even if we just take the strap and wrap it around your back at the shoulder blades, but the first way would be more effective. If we can figure out how to make it so the strap wont fall apart, It would let you run easier..." Rayna stops, looking behind her at the German Shepherd, Hoping he wouldn't ask how she knew. When she was only a pup, One of her mothers sisters, who was deaf, was walking on the train tracks. She lived in the same house Rayna does now, so she wasn't being watched, and as she walked, She couldn't hear the train. She tried to jump out of the way too late, and lost the bottom half of both of her back legs. They did this to her legs, and she was fine, But the legs were a bit too loud for her to hunt, The humans wouldn't supply her food, and Rayna was too little to hunt for something big enough to feed the at the time larger dog.

Rayna pins her ears back, Waiting for the response from Chandler. Rayna soon sees the officer, Her tail quickly going to the middle of her back legs as he approaches. Rayna whines, Her legs shaking before she quickly runs outside, Around to the other side of the house. Rayna, Still shaken sees the smaller wolf, Now seeing it was a American Red Wolf. She bows her head, Shaken as she looks up, Showing the whites of her large brown eyes as she looks around. She was bent down, Violently shaken still as she lets out a whine, Putting the side of her head to the ground and turning her head until her body followed, Causing the large "pup" to fall to her back. She was really just a big huge sweetheart, But sometimes humans triggered her due to her past. Normally she was submissive, But sometimes distant, others submissive, But never aggressive until her life is under threat. She almost never attacked another canine, or human, unless her life was under threat due to them attacking, or her hurting herself badly, Where she was then on defense. Rayna lets her front legs go limp, Still shaken after being triggered by the human for seemingly no reason. She closes her big eyes, Waiting for the smaller, yet older canines response.

"I prefer it off." The canine mutters quietly. As he says this he barks at Patrick and nods to the prosthetic, which the officer removes and leans on a wall. Chandler shakes his coat and gives his body a second to adjust to the natural feeling. He tilts his head slightly, confused as to why Rayna ran before shrugging it off and attempting to get himself to his dog-bed in the far corner.

Re: The Countryside

Post by Phoenix on Tue Apr 12, 2016 3:36 pm

Phoenix awoke when the scent of fresh kill reached her nasal cavities, her eyes snapped open and immediately squinted closed again, the sun was shining directly into her visual sensors. She took a moment for her eyes to adjust before opening them fully, taking a hesitant bite of the pig, she discovered that it was not only fresh, but large enough to feed her and her pups for one great meal! The american red wolf yipped in excitement, she ate some more bites before sitting up and licking her snout clean. She followed the other scents on the boar to a door, seeing one dog inside the home. The female yipped happily, gesturing at the dead pig with her wagging tail. She quickly spotted the other canine, a female mastiff pup. Phoenix ran over to her and smiled. "Thank you." She told the pup, "Do you mind if i take the rest for me and my pups?" She asked.

Rayna gets up, towering over the canine as she shakes her head, Saying "I don't mind" before going back into the house, Limping out of fear. She hoped the officer would notice the odd behavior and the scars under her fur. She bows her head, Still shaken before she runs up to the officer, Licking his hand. She would never attack a human unless a more trusted human told her to, But was sometimes scared by humans. She wouldn't be scared like this if she wanted to attack, or if the officer told her to attack. She whines, Trying to lift her fur by nudging her back. Some of her fur lifts up, showing white and red scars from burns, whips, and cuts all over her back. She whines, Licking the cops hand again, still quite shaken. She looks at Chandler, Lowering her head to look at the ground. She figured that after the cop saw how skittish she was she would have no chance becoming a police dog, But she was in 6 months of training before her owners wanted her out to model. She will attack anyone without hesitation if a more trusted force tells her to. She looks up at the cop, Hoping that after all of this the cop would still take her if possible.

Patrick looks confused at the sight of the scars, looking at Chandler for an answer. Chandler nods simply, letting him know he's correct, before standing and limping over. "Most he can do is check out the place himself. Possibly take another cop with him and a K-9 to check the place out. Training for you if you're interested in going." The shepherd offers, appearing upset at the thought of missing out.

Rayna smiles, Simply saying "I'll go if you lead me, You're still a officer." her voice soft as she looks up to the officer, Her short tail making a effort to wag as she walks to the door. She planned to lead them to the house, so she looked back at them, walking out to the road and headed north. She sits down, looking back as she quickly runs back, Running back north before stopping, walking back. Her steps were large, Most of her height from her long legs. Her legs were very strong though, With a very large Doberman like chest. She really wanted to prove herself, But wouldn't attack until the cop said, if he ever did. She really wanted to tackle him, as for there were two, but his wife loved the dog. His wife would do anything for her husband, But the husband would run. She looks at Chandler, Saying "Are you going, or not, I bet it'll be fun, Adventure rush." a smile across her face, nudging the dogs side before asking where his child was.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world. And she's probably off playing with the chickens, herding skills I guess." He shrugs, barking and nudging the prosthetic, giving Patrick a look he can't say no to. The human sighs and walks over, putting on Chandler's prosthetic and grabbing his badge from the counter. Chandler eagerly races out to the truck with Patrick at his heels, the human opening the door and letting him in. He jumps in with great effort and Patrick hesitantly lets the male in before waiting patiently for Rayna.

Rayna gets a big smile on her face, Running up to the car before pulling herself in. She looks at Chandler, A thanking look as she sits down, Having never been on a car ride. As Patrick sat down and started the car, She lied down, Watching the road out the windshield. "Thanks, Officer Chandler." she said this calmly, too focused on the windshield. She had obviously seen cars before, But never been inside one while it ran. She soon sees the large 2 story log cabin like house, the woman outside gardening. Rayna lowers her head, Hiding from the girl, though she never did anything to her, She obeyed her husband, the one that did abuse her. Rayna starts whining and stands up, walking in circles in the seat as she looks in the house to see her husband. Rayna flops back down on to her stomach, Wondering what the officer would do. She was wondering if Officer Patrick knew about the 6 months of K-9 unit training she had, as for not many people knew about it, But the Officer may have it in his memory, or some sort of file about it.

"I figured you'd like to see your human getting busted." He shrugs, keeping a watchful eye on the passing scenery, his ears perked and dark eyes narrowed slightly, fur bristling. "How long has it been going on?" He asks with a faint growl, letting the training he had return to mind.

Rayna sticks her ears up, Trying to remember. "'Bout a year, maybe a year and a half." she says, Watching the house. She turns to Chandler, Saying "we're here." Her head lowered as she waits at her door, Standing up, Ready to jump out. She looks at Chandler, almost whispering "I was actually a police dog in training for 6 months before they took me out for modeling, water disc competitions, races, and dog fights." The car comes to a stop, The door opening as Rayna hops out, Turning around and waiting for Chandler, Watching to make sure he wasn't hurt on the way down. The male walks out of the house, as Rayna turns, Pushing herself under the car, Not wanting to attack without being told and get in trouble. She would happily kill these people, But wouldn't approach them unless she was told to. She peeks her head out from under the vehicle, Seeing the male start yelling at Officer Patrick, Screaming "What the hell you doin' here!" before speed walking closer.

Chandler instantly jumps down with his teeth bared, ears pinned as he stands in front of Patrick. He gives the human a clear warning, barking aggressively and snarling loudly. "Sir, I don't want any trouble. Please stop yelling, you're frightening the K-9." Patrick responds calmly.

Rayna crawls out from under the vehicle, Baring her teeth slightly before looking at the cop, As if asking permission. She watches as her owner goes closer, Now clearly drunk. He keeps screaming, saying "This is my goddamn property I scream if I want!" before shoving Patrick. Rayna snarls, Bolting out from under the car and pouncing on his side, Instantly bringing him down as she snarls, Barking at the man down. She puts a paw on his back, Knowing he could go under arrest for assaulting a police officer. She looks up at the cop, Wondering if he approved as her ears pin back, Lowering her head. She looks at chandler, Quickly back at the ground. It seemed like instinct, And she could hardly believe she had done it herself. She backs away, pinning herself against the car as the human struggles to their knees, then gets back up. Rayna's fur instantly stands back up as her tail curls to her back, Her lip curling up as a warning to the human, Knowing she would do it again for any more aggressive acts. The human simply says "What'd you do that for stupid mutt!" before staring back at the cop.

Chandler snarls again and stalks forward, teeth baring and hackles bristled. "I've noticed scars under your canine's coat, I was wondering where they were from. And unless you wish to go to jail, don't try that again." After saying this, Patrick holds out his badge and Chandler continues his aggressive growling.

Phoenix trotted away happily, her family was going to have good meal tonight, and it was all thanks to that pup with a big heart. The female red wolf growled in determination as she stalked up the hill, the heavy boar was making her progress difficult. She smiled when she reached the hollow log, dropping the kill by the hollow trunk. The young mother smiled as she watched her pups eat the boar.

Chandler's instinct takes over and he doesn't await an order, lunging at the man and digging his teeth into his arm, prosthetic digging into his abdomen with his other paw as he holds him down, shaking his head aggressively, ignoring Patrick's order to stop.

Rayna pins her ears back, Lip still raised as the human lies, Saying "She got in fights with our chickens, So what!" Though it was clear that a chicken wouldn't do that. Rayna stalks back under the vehicle, Staring at the abusive human, Then chandler before turning her gaze to the police officer. She covers her face, Kind of ashamed that she showed aggression without being told to do so. Staring at officer Patrick, She waits for some sort of response, good or bad, from Chandler and Patrick. She watches as Chandler attacks him, Mouth opened before she barks at Chandler, Not wanting to have him put down for acts of aggression. She watches as the male starts to bleed, smacking and scratching the German Shepherd. She barks louder, Snarling at the two as she glares at chandler, Hoping for him to get off. She bites the humans hand just hard enough for him to pull back and see a bit of blood, though not much. She growls at Chandler, Knowing that they could put him down after. She gets up, Looking at Officer Patrick with a concerned, but sad look.

Chandler keeps snarling but looks at Patrick's unconvinced face. "That's not chickens, sir." He says impatiently, tapping his foot on the ground and snapping his fingers, pointing to his side for Chandler to come. Chandler whimpers and stalks over, head low.

Rayna starts shaking, Her eyes locked on the human male. Rayna backs up from under the car, Worming back until she manages to get out. She peers around the front end of the car,  Slowly creeping up until she is next to Chandler. She pins her flopped down ears back, Pinning them up into their proper spot after. She watches her previous owner struggle to get up, Managing to get on his knees before falling back. Soon, he gets up, Giving the cop a dirty look before gazing at Chandler. He turns his head back, Saying to the police officer "And whats your proof that it isn't chickens?" his voice cheery as he smiles at the cop. Rayna stands, snarls at him, Raising her lip before she sits back down, Lowering her lip. She pins her ears back up, Still shaking of fear from looking at her abuser.

Rayna gives her owner a glare, Annoyed with him. She goes to attack, Quickly stopping herself after starting to charge. She pins her ears back, Looking at Chandler with a frustrated expression plastered on her face before turning back to the officer. She knows she would make for a good officer, Attacking wise. She was a very large and strong dog, and still growing. She secretly wondered if Chandler and the officer knew she was still kind of a pup, not even 2 years old yet. She shrugs it off, Staring at the abuser with a deadly stare, She really wanted to kill him. She lets her tail slap the ground as hard as she possibly can, Resisting the urge to growl before she walks back to the corner. Her big eyes were almost impossible for humans to say no to, Especially after knowing her back story, and what a big love bug she is, despite her size.

"Anything to say to that, sir?" The officer challenges, a tight grip on Chandler's collar as the canine tenses like he's going to attack again. "We could also just ask your neighbors if they've seen any signs of abuse." He says calmly, keeping the same tone he's had the whole time.

The human looks at him, Saying "I have no words, But control your fucking dog!" His voice now, much more clear, and clearly drunk as he kicks Chandlers chest as hard as he can. Rayna pins her ears back, Snarling before running up to him, Almost attacking before she just barks over and over, Very deep and loud. She waits for the OK from the officer as the human walks over, Saying "See! Get your dog off my ass!" shoving the cop once more before Rayna locks onto his arm. He waves his arm around, Falling to the ground with Rayna and rolling around in attempts to get her off. She growls while shaking wildly, Latched on his arm, and showing no sign of letting go. It was a bit bloody, But most of it was in Rayna's mouth, and any that escaped went on her muzzle. She stops, Almost having to pry herself off to be able to stop herself. She keeps growling even after she is off, Backing away.

Ciel could feel herself being tugged back by the volunteer, and instinctively turned and snapped her sharp, pearly white teeth at the leash, clamping her jaws tightly around it and tugging viciously, however it wouldn't do mich good, as she was small and not near as strong as the human. She wondered silently what he wanted, and why he had felt it necessary to tug on HER leash as hard as he did.
